CASUAL SPACEMAN

Casual Spaceman Astrophotography

Chasing light from a million years ago

Planets, the Moon, the Sun, galaxies and nebulae — captured photon by photon from the darkest skies, then stacked, stretched and brought to life.

About Me

Just a casual spaceman

The Casual Spaceman, face visible through the visor, floating in zero gravity with a red telescope

Hi! I'm Hrach. At work I'm a product manager. Outside of it I'm a space fan, a beginner astrophotographer, a tech geek and, when the clouds roll in, the guy with the guitar.

Along the way you'll find a few of my favourite captures, from the Sun, the Moon and the planets to galaxies and nebulae, and the gear I shoot them with. Astrophotography is equal parts patience and problem-solving, from chasing clear skies to stacking hours of data into a single picture. When it all comes together it feels like magic, and I hope something here makes you want to look up too.
